Wizards Play Network retailer content

Content Specialist (Contract) · Wizards of the Coast · Nov 2025 to present

The Wizards Play Network is the retailer program behind Wizards of the Coast’s organized play. I write and edit the content stores use to understand how the program works, and I check each piece against the guidance, dashboard, and articles around it. As of September 2026, 19 articles I worked on are live.

My role on the team

I gather information from source documents and people across the program, then turn it into retailer-facing content. My role changes by piece. I may write the draft, substantially revise existing copy, or complete editorial QA before the content moves to CMS preparation and localization.

I also check each piece against the content around it. That’s where I catch conflicting guidance, terminology drift, and questions that still need an answer.

I support the content calendar and maintain the article tracker. Other teammates handle the overall calendar, program policy, final approvals, and launch strategy.

Selected articles

These are live WPN articles I created, substantially revised, or supported through editorial QA and CMS preparation. Each reflects contributions from multiple people. Some program details remain confidential.

From brief to handoff

I use Smartsheet and Confluence for briefs, tracking, and source material. I draft in Word and prepare content in Contentful, including formatting, metadata, link QA, and localization preparation.

I coordinate reviews, follow up on open questions, and route material changes for legal review when needed.
